A Private Retreat
Our villas have been designed with couples and privacy in mind. Each villa is detached and includes an enclosed lily pond and private lawned garden.
The villas are sited on a terrace with an elevated balcony facing the lake. Room Service is available and our staff will be happy to lay a table in your villa, complete with candles and flowers, on request.

Fragrant Nature offers two types of accommodation - Luxury Lakeside Rooms and Deluxe Lakeview Villas.

LAKESIDE ROOM FEATURES

The Lakeside Rooms have a traditional appearance which blends well into the natural landscape.
The interiors, by contrast, are modern and luxuriously fitted for a comfortable stay.

LAKEVIEW VILLA FEATURES

Fragrant Nature's Villas feature traditional Keralean styling, modern comfortable interiors and energy efficient design.

Detached and single-storey
Constructed of mud brick with exterior mud plaster and interior cement plaster and timber-lined thatching
Modern interiors with high quality fittings
Built out from a terrace:

o Views of the lake from all rooms

Bedrooms are twin or double and each has a telephone, cable TV, and a balcony with an excellent lake view.

Each villa has a living room with dining area and this may be used as an additional sleeping area for one extra adult or two children.

VILLA ENERGY-SAVING DESIGN FEATURES
The villa construction is of plastered mud brick, wood and thatch with wood ceilings - materials chosen to provide good insulation and minimise the temperature inside. The villas are positioned above the lake where breezes give a natural cooling effect. Multiple doors, both lakeside and landside, permit cross-draughts for daytime cooling. Ceiling fans are also provided for additional comfort.

Low energy CFL lamps have been used widely throughout the resort. Hot water in the Villas and Restaurant is supplied from solar panels.

WATER CONSERVATION
All our water comes from surface wells rather than bore wells to lessen the impact on the local community. Water consumption on the Resort is minimised by substituting Shower Rooms for Bath Rooms in the villas. The WCs are also dual-flush for water economy.
